Roll up, roll up for the trilobites! Surely the greatest fossil treasures the sea has ever served up! Amazing crystal eyes! Spectacular spines! More than 270 million years of evolution! More than 20,000 species! They may have been extinct for a quarter of a billion years, but that only adds to their mystery!
In this two-part class, Hidden Horizons’ palaeontologist Dr Liam Herringshaw will introduce you to the wonderful world of trilobites, exploring their origins, their amazing variety, and what we know about where – and how – they lived. Included in the price of the course is our stunning trilobite replica collection, comprising 13 museum-quality examples of these fascinating fossil arthropods.
No previous experience in palaeontology is required, just an enthusiasm for fossils!
Timetable: Classes start at 7pm (1900 GMT) on Tuesday evenings: December 8th and 15th 2020. Each class lasts 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.
Places on the course are strictly limited to 20.
