Whilst we may not be able to run any fossil hunting trips this half-term holiday we are excited to be able to offer our online kids fossil club. Ideal for any fossil or dinosaur mad child between the ages of 5 and 16, these sessions will be fun and interactive. For each day you will be provided with a replica fossil (sent by post) from GeoEd Ltd and a set of emailed resources. The topics we are covering are:
Monday 15th February - Amazing Ammonites
Wednesday 17th February - Terrific Trilobites
Friday 19th February - Dinosaur Detectives
Each day has three main sections:
10am - An online zoom session that covers the fossil we are looking at, including Q&A, some fun quizzes and talk from our palaeontologist.
10:45 to 3pm - We will set you some (optional) challenges for the day, these maybe craft based, fact finding or something else.
3pm - Come back together online to share what we have found and round up the day, plus any final questions.
Please note all children will need an adult with them for the Zoom sessions.
Each day costs £12 (you get the two online sessions, all your emailed resources and a replica fossil) or £25 for all three, just choose your option above in the tickets. Please add your postal address to the notes field of your order so we can send your replica fossils.
Closing date for bookings is 10am on the 12th February (so we can get replicas to you in time)
