York Hidden History Walks

New for the summer of 2021, our York Hidden History walks will take you on fascinating journeys through the historic city of York, exploring its scientific, ancient, and natural history. Led by expert guides, Dr Simon Rogerson and Dr Liam Herringshaw, our York Hidden History walks are perfect for people who want a city tour that digs a little deeper.

Starting in July 2021 with a theme of ‘Elemental York’, we are offering four different York Hidden History walks: the York Air Walk, the York Fire Walk, the York Earth Walk, and the York Water Walk. Each walk takes place within the mediaeval city walls of York, and lasts around 2 hours. The walks are aimed at adults and children over 11, but children under the age of 11 are very welcome to come along too (and don’t have to pay!).
